Our Vision Statement

 

"We aspire Communion with God, creating within us, love for our Community and Compassion for the hurting."

 

 

Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.' (Mark 12:30)

- Can we do anything eternally significant without loving God first?

- You can't find the topic of "loving God" without finding "obedience to him" attached to it.  Its not simply following external rules, (10 Commandments), but a responding to what God is saying to you (Sermon on the Mount).

- This is not something anyone else can judge.

- It is imperative then that we learn to hear God's voice.

- Our vision statement reminds us to love God first, then let that spiritually empower our love for community and compassion.

 

In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.   (Matthew 5:16)

 

- If our world is in darkness we must be aware that the light of Jesus chases away that darkness no matter where we go.

 

- Service without power can only satisfy for a moment.  Loving God with all our heart spurs us to serve deeper, more sacrificially and with supernatural results.
